DERRINGER DISCOVERIES

ARTISTS FOR UKRAINE

On 19 March 2022, Derringer Discoveries released our Listening to Ukraine episode (#31) which features musical artists from the embattled country. While researching the episode, our very own Paul Derringer corresponded with Ukrainian artist Pasha Black who provided insight and guidance for developing this significant episode.

As a show of support for the Ukrainian people – and especially for Ukrainian musicians – we have created the Artists for Ukraine playlist which not only features Ukrainian bands and musicians but also many non-Ukrainian artists who support Ukraine and are special to Derringer Discoveries. #ArtistsForUkraine

If you are an artist who has shown your support by adding one of your songs to the Artists for Ukraine playlist, “Thank you!” If you are an artist who would like to add one of your songs to this playlist as a show of support, please submit your song to us! As a music listener, you can demonstrate your support by liking, streaming, and sharing this playlist.

In addition to working with Pasha Black, we are honored to have heard from Illia of the Ukrainian band In.Vade. Illia wrote to say, “I've listened to the episode 31 of your podcast and I like it very much! You played Ukrainian hit songs like Ruslana's ‘Wild dances’ and The Hardkiss ‘Stones’. Very cool!”

He also described the catastrophic loss of life, including women and children, at the hands of the Russian forces. He told us, “Millions of people left their home. Thousands took weapon and went to defend our country from russian aggressors. We accustomed to live under the howl of sirens. Thank you for your questions and support of Ukraine.”

Derringer Discoveries supports the musicians - and all the people - of Ukraine. #ArtistsForUkraine
