The Muster Point Project

ARTIST: Kevin Franco/The Muster Point Project

LOCATION: Calgary, Alberta [Canada]

FEATURED: Episode 83

ARTIST BIO

Based in YYC and SCL, writing songs in between. The Muster Point Project (TMPP) is the creation of Kevin Franco, a multi-instrumentalist and storyteller from Calgary, Canada.

TMPP's May '24 release, Don't Give Me Anything, was named The Undiscovered Gem of the Week on Corus rock stations across Canada.

TMPP's debut album released to absolute crickets in October of 2021, but slowly built a following of fans which include mostly family, friends and people who scanned the QR code on a decal placed in public bathrooms.

The second album, What's The Point? performed a fair bit better and even got some radio play, thank god for covering John Prine.

2023 saw the release of two EPs. The first, a collaboration with novelist Geoff Moore contained songs featuring the Kick Horns, a tango-based rocker with a perfect title to troll rock critics with, a literary gem, a total rocker and an interesting genre melt of a song completing the eclectic mix. The 2nd EP contained 4 previously released singles as well as "The Diner" which one YouTuber called "brilliant songwriting".

TMPP's 2024 album "It Was Here He Received His Only Formal Education" is available on limited edition blue vinyl.

TMPP works with producer Darryll McFadyen of the clan McFadyen.
