ARTIST BIO

Max Weinman is an American singer/songwriter and pianist known for his for his vintage sound and heartfelt lyricism. Raised on classic rock artists of the 60’s and 70’s such as The Beatles, Billy Joel and Elton John to name a few, his music reflects this beautifully with his use of Beatlesque harmonies merged with a rhythmic yet melodic style of piano playing all accompanied with a style of songwriting that is beyond his years. These attributes make him a truly unique artist and soulful balladeer.

FROM DERRINGER DISCOVERIES

We’ve heard a lot of young pianists chase retro vibes, but Max Weinman doesn’t just replicate the past—he inhabits it, then colors it with his own modern palette. His debut feels both timeless and urgent, a rare blend that makes you nostalgic for memories you never lived.

What stands out:

  • Emotional Depth Beyond His Years: On “Julia,” he captures first-love trembling; on “In Our Silence,” he channels unanswered questions.
  • Piano as Storyteller: Few artists let the piano breathe like Max—every riff, every chord progression drives the narrative forward.
  • Songwriting Maturity: Crafting an album between ages 16–20, Max delivers hooks and turns of phrase that pay homage to his idols without ever sounding derivative.

Bottom line:  If your playlist needs a dose of heartfelt piano pop that honors the ’70s greats while carving out its own space, Max Weinman is your next obsession. We’re proud to call him an honorary Derringer and can’t wait to watch his journey unfold.
